Plants in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia run on Tangkira vessels, including

  • Sawira Oleo
  • kelip dairies
  • MEKARbio
  • Hulu Water
  • SERI TAPIS
  • Nusacoat

One shop, six industries that each read a tank differently.

A dairy cares about dead legs. A refinery cares about jacket pressure. A pharma plant cares about the paperwork. We keep one engineer lead per industry, so the person reading your spec has built the same kind of vessel many times before.

  • Food & dairy

Mixing, buffer and storage tanks with sanitary welds you can run a fingernail over. Built for CIP from day one.

Typical spec: Internal finish Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, crevice-free nozzles, 3-A style drainage

  • Palm oil & oleochemicals

Jacketed reactors, bleachers and fatty-acid storage that live with heat, pressure and a 24/7 refinery schedule.

Typical spec: Up to 10 barg / FV, 250 °C, half-pipe or dimple jackets

  • Pharma & nutraceutical

Compounding vessels and purified-water skids finished for GMP audits, with the paperwork trail to match.

Typical spec: Electropolished Ra ≤ 0.4 µm, orbital welds, boroscope records

  • Water & wastewater

Dosing tanks, filter housings and pipe skids for treatment plants that cannot afford a leak or a rust stain.

    Typical spec: SS316L or duplex 2205, 0.5 to 60 m³, skid-mounted

  • Specialty chemicals

Reaction and blending vessels for coatings, adhesives and cleaning chemicals, with agitators sized to your viscosity.

Typical spec: Agitators 0.75 to 30 kW, anchor, pitched-blade or high-shear

  • Semicon & electronics

Ultra-pure chemical and DI water tanks, and the stainless frames and trays that go around fab tools.

Typical spec: Clean-room bagging, helium leak test to 1×10⁻⁹ mbar·l/s

What we build, with the numbers your engineer will ask for.

These are the working limits of our shop today, not a brochure wish list. If your spec sits outside them, we will say so in the first call and tell you who can do it.

The machines behind the table

Everything except head pressing happens under one roof in Rawang. That is why a revision on Tuesday can be on the rolling machine by Thursday, and why you can walk the floor on any weekday without booking a special tour.

Up to 3,000 mm wide, 16 mm thick in stainless
Dished heads
Torispherical and ellipsoidal, Ø 600 to 3,600 mm, pressed by a partner mill, trimmed in-house

Finishing
Mechanical polish to Ra 0.4 µm, electropolish up to 3 m³
Testing
Hydro, pneumatic, helium leak, PMI, ferrite and boroscope

Steel moves one way through our shop. So do your drawings.

Our Rawang plant is laid out as a single loop, from raw plate to the loading bay. Nothing doubles back, stainless never shares a bay with carbon steel, and every station has a named supervisor you can ask for on a visit.

Swipe the plan sideways to see the full shop.

  1. 1

    Material store & cutting

Plate arrives with mill certificates, gets PMI-checked, then goes to the 6 kW fibre laser. Offcuts are sorted by grade for recycling.

  2. 2

    Rolling & forming

Four-roll plate bender for shells up to 3,000 mm wide. Heads come in pressed and are trimmed and bevelled here.

  3. 3

    Welding cells

Six screened cells, one vessel per cell, carbon-steel-free zone. Orbital TIG for pipework runs in cell 6.

  4. 4

    Polishing & finishing

Internal polish to the Ra you specified, measured with a profilometer and logged per zone.

  5. 5

    Pickling & passivation

Bunded, ventilated bay with a fume scrubber. Rinse water goes to our treatment tank, not the drain.

  6. 6

    Hydro test pit

Sunken pit for vessels up to 7 m tall. Calibrated gauges, chart recorder, witness gallery for your inspector.

  7. 7

    Dispatch & QA lab

Final inspection, bagging and dossier sign-off, then onto the truck under a 20 t overhead crane.

Seven checks between your drawing and your plant.

Our inspection and test plan is agreed with you before work starts. At a hold point, work stops until you or your inspector sign off. At a witness point, we give you 48 hours' notice so you can attend.

  • Hold point: we wait for your sign-off
  • Witness: you may attend
  • Review: record in the dossier
  1. 1

    Material check

    Review

Every plate and pipe matched to its EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate. PMI gun confirms the grade before cutting.

  2. 2

    Weld procedure

    Review

Joint design matched to a qualified WPS. Only welders coded for that procedure touch your vessel.

  3. 3

    Fit-up & dimensions

    Hold point

Nozzle orientation, heights and levelness checked against the approved drawing before final welding.

  4. 4

    NDT

    Witness

Radiography or dye-penetrant to the extent your code calls for, 10% to 100%, by a third-party Level II.

  5. 5

    Hydro test

    Hold point

Held at 1.3 × design pressure for at least 60 minutes with a chart recorder. Your inspector can sign the chart.

  6. 6

    Pickle & passivate

    Witness

Weld tint removed, surface passivated, then a ferroxyl test proves no free iron is left behind.

  7. 7

    FAT & dossier

    Hold point

Factory acceptance test with water, agitator run-in, and a bound QA dossier handed over with the vessel.

Built in Rawang or shipped from Europe?

Imported vessels are often good vessels. The question is what you give up to wait for them. Here is the honest side-by-side we walk procurement teams through.

Where imports win: long runs of identical small tanks, 200 or more a year. A volume line abroad will beat us on unit price, and we will tell you so.

  • Lead time, 10 m³ jacketed vessel

    Tangkira: 12 to 16 weeks

Import: 26 to 36 weeks plus shipping

  • Price currency

Tangkira: Fixed in ringgit at order

Import: USD or EUR, exposed to the rate

  • Seeing your vessel mid-build

Questions buyers ask before the first call

Something missing? Put it in the RFQ form and an engineer will answer it with your quote.

What is your minimum order?

One vessel. Most of our work is one to six vessels per project. For a single small tank under 1 m³ we may point you to a standard catalogue tank, because a custom build will cost more than it is worth.

Can you build to our own design, or do you design it for us?

Both. About half our orders arrive as a client drawing that we check and detail for fabrication. The other half start from a process datasheet, and our engineers do the mechanical design and calculations to ASME VIII Div. 1 for your approval.

Do you install on site?

Yes, across Peninsular Malaysia, with our own riggers and pipe fitters. For Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore and Indonesia we deliver and supervise, working with your local installer.

Which third-party inspectors do you work with?

Any recognised inspection body your project names. We schedule their hold and witness points in the inspection and test plan so they are never waiting on us.

What are your payment terms?

Typically 30% on order, 40% on hydro test, 25% on delivery and 5% on site acceptance. Prices are fixed in ringgit. Government-linked and listed companies can ask about their standard vendor terms.

What warranty do we get?

24 months on workmanship and materials from delivery, and 12 months on bought-in parts such as motors and valves, backed by the maker. Breakdown calls in Peninsular Malaysia get an engineer on site within 24 hours.

Do you repair or modify tanks you did not build?

Yes, if we can verify the material. We add nozzles, jackets and agitators, re-passivate, and re-certify after repair. We will ask for the original data book if you have it.

Talk to the people who will build it.

No call centre. Your first call goes to an engineer who has built vessels for your industry, and stays your contact until hand-over.
